CALCINED DOLOMITE
Calcium and magnesium oxide or calcined dolomite are obtained from dolomitic minerals such as calcium carbonate and magnesium Ca Mg (CO3) 2, through the calcination process.
Calcined Dolomite is an Oxide of Calcium and Magnesium (CaO & MgO) mainly used as a flux in iron and steel industries. Calcined Dolomite play important role in purifying the liquid metal along with increasing the life of refractory linings.
CaCO3 + MgCO3 + Heat → CaO + MgO
Calcined Dolomite is manufactured from high-grade dolomite stone mined from our own mines. Dolomite stone contains calcium and magnesium carbonates (Caco3+ Mgco3). The Dolomite Stone is burned at high temperatures in a rotary kiln (which is known as calcination).
Through the development & adaptation of new technologies and manufacturing processes. Our Mines are zero discharge or zero waste generation mines. Optimum utilisation of natural resources is our aim for preserving the natural environment.
Calcined dolomite is found in applications in the iron and steel industry, such as in scorifiers and refractory lining protectors, in agriculture as a soil conditioner and in the environmental sector in water treatment, among others.
